Color Correction
Angela can do color correction on brows, eyeliner, etc. Most often I color correct gray brows. If your brows aren't completely saturated with color being super dark gray. Removing them with laser or saline might be your best option. If they are a lighter gray, green, red, pink, etc. Depending on your longer goals color correction might be an option. I usually recommend doing one session that is only color correction to get the best results. Before we do anything over it.
Color Correction for brows
This client wanted Nano Brows touch up, and I recommended a color correction and after the color correction she liked the results and decided to wait a year before doing Nano Brows. Sometimes you don't need a full Nano brow, Powder brow re application. Sometimes just adding some warmth to the color it will be enough to make someone happy.
This client had quite dark gray brows that were aging her. Getting just a color correction made her look so good, and didn't need anything more because she liked her shape.
This client lived farther away from me and wanted to do the color correction and nano brows in the same appt. At her touch appt we will tweak more with the shape, but we were able to balance a bit more and will do more at her touch up.
How do I choose color for color correction?
When you come in for your consultation or when I see them I will decide the color and how saturated the color needs to be to help with the color correction. You need to go opposite of the color wheel to neutralize the color. So if you have green brows than red will neutralize. If you have gray it is orange. I also have to take into consideration how dark or how bright the color needs to be to not add too much of the color correcting color.
As a Permanent Makeup artist you are always giving your best guess based off experience, skin tone, hair color, etc. Some people will change the color drastically, purge and not hold as much ink as usual, and the tails might disappear. That is what the second appt is for. its for all the details to perfect and make you absolutely LOVE the healed result.

What to Expect During Your Color Correction Appointment
1. Consultation
We discuss your goals, existing brows, past PMU, desired shape and color. I will give recomendations and hear feedback.
2. Prepping and Numbing the area.
I will use an alcohol wipe to sanitize the area, scrub the skin, and then place the numbing on the skin and put plastic over it.
3. Color Selection
Pigment is selected based on what color we need to saturate and how dark or light it needs to be for your end result.
5. Color Correction Procedure
I shad over the area using a tattoo machine and after doing first pass on one brow I will renumb, so you are in as little pain as possible.
6. After care Instructions
You'll receive detailed instructions for caring for your area while they heal.
What do I do if I have past Microblading/PMU?
Having past Microblading or PMU tattoo doesn't make you a bad candidate for Nano brows, but there are alot of questions that I would ask and want to see a picture or in person to see what the work looks like, and if it can be changed or tweaked. If its too saturated or if you don't love the shape and want it changed significantly than you might want it removed first. If you want to schedule a consultation we can figure it out together. you could also be a good candidate for color correction.
Color Correction After Care
Stay Away from Pool, Hot Tub, and Sauna
Stay away from Direct Sunlight and wear Sunglasses, and Hats
Wipe Your Brows with Water Wipes forward and back 3 times a day for first 2 days the rest 10-14 days do it morning and night.
Put the balm on after wiping them
If you are a side sleeper put bandaids on your tails of your brows
Healing Process
Remember your skin will heal differently and some people heal in shorter time, some longer, some have more skin that peels, and some have none. But this is a timeline that is similar to a lot of people.
Days 1-3
Brows may appear darker and warmer and more defined. You might wonder if you made the right choice or think it's too dark etc. Especially if you want from little to no brow hair. Trust the process.
Days 4-7
Brows will start flaking some skin, the color can dissappear it's called the ghosting phase. Trust the process.
Days 10-14
You will be done flaking and can shower and swim, hot tub, and sauna again. You might feel itchy because its healing but that's ok. You might even get to the point you feel they are too light and you might have gotten used to the initial color, but remember we can always choose a darker color at your touch up appt.
Weeks 2-4
Brows will start to settle and you will start to see what the color and what the strokes will look like healed.
Weeks 6-8
You will get your touch up appt and can share anything you want tweaked or changed.
